The gelato stand on the right side of the Italian Pavilion is exactly the kind of spot that makes you want to say, “This is the only place to go on a day when I feel like melting in the heat. In addition to the standard Italian gelato, what catches the eye are the frozen drinks from Sicily called “granita. The peach mango flavor, in particular, is so fruity and luxurious that it is like drinking gelato.
You can choose from two or three kinds of gelato, all of which are rich but with a light aftertaste. Personally, the combination of tiramisu and pistachio is my favorite. The affogato is also popular, with the bitterness of espresso and the sweetness of ice cream giving it a mature taste.
Depending on how crowded the pavilion is, there may be lines. Especially in the afternoon, the lines can be quite long, so it is recommended to stop by in the morning or evening.
