Review of the French Pavilion Restaurant

The restaurant in the French Pavilion opens for business at 11:00 AM. Although the official policy is not to wait in line, people actually begin to quietly gather around 10:45 am.

The food is indeed authentic, and every dish is carefully prepared. The foie gras, in particular, was rich and even more enjoyable when dipped in sweet jam. The cheeses and desserts are also well done, and the composition is pleasing to French lovers.

However, compared to French bistros in town, there are fewer “Expo-specific surprises. For better or worse, it is “royal French cuisine,” which may not be enough for those seeking novelty and surprise.

With a large selection of wines, this is a great place for wine lovers. Only courses are offered during the day, and a la carte options are available in the evening and later.
