Food Menu List (*Prices include tax, at the time of visit)

most popular menu item

  • Roti Chanay & Curry Set ¥1,680 This is a classic Malaysian street food, with the ultra-thin chewy dough hand-stretched and baked on the spot, and served with spice-scented curry. A must-order specialty!

Other menu items may change depending on the time of day or day, but at the time of the interview, the roti chanai was by far the most popular.
*When we visited around 6:00 p.m., many items on the menu were sold out, so it is safe to come early.

Recommended for

  • For those who want to experience Malaysian street food
  • Those who like chewy and crispy naan
  • Those who want to enjoy watching the cooking demonstration up close.

The demonstration was riveting! Live performance of stretching “thin nan” in front of your eyes!

The most attractive feature of the restaurant at the Malaysia Pavilion is that visitors can watch the cooking process right in front of them over the counter.
What is particularly noteworthy is the performance of the roti chanay dough as it is deftly spread out and stretched while being patted with air. It is a process that makes you want to take a video of it.

The baked roti is crispy and fragrant, while the inside is chunky. When eaten with the rich spicy curry, the ethnic flavor will spread in your mouth.
The balance between the casualness of street food and the authentic flavor is superb, and the generous portions are a delightful point.

In summary, don’t miss out on the “fun to see and delicious to eat” Malaysian experience!

The Malaysian Pavilion restaurant offers both cooking demonstrations and authentic tastes that cannot be found in other pavilions. The roti chanay, in particular, is limited in quantity and concentrated in popularity, so if you go later in the evening, you may find that it is sold out one after another. If you want to be sure of getting a taste, it is best to visit before noon or early afternoon.
