Mozambique Pavilion

It is spacious, but the content is thin. A little disappointing to be honest.

▷Recommended for

  • Looking for a pavilion where you can get in quickly without standing in line?
  • Those who would like to “just get into” an African country.
  • The kind of person who doesn’t mind a few exhibits.

It looks spacious. But inside, “Huh?” Contents

The Mozambique Pavilion is surprisingly spacious from the outside.
This makes you wonder, “Could this be…?”
Because of this, one tends to expect that this might be the case, but upon entering the pavilion, one is somewhat disappointed.

The number of exhibits was small, and the organization seemed scattered, and frankly, I couldn’t help but feel that there was “not enough substance” in the exhibition.

The only attraction is the mini-theater on the 2nd floor

In a small theater space on the second floor, a video introducing Mozambique’s nature and cities is shown.
This is the only place where visitors can sit in a seat and watch the video in a more relaxed style.

However, there was little information or cultural supplementation other than the video, and I was left with the impression that it was all about the video….

Almost no traditional or cultural exhibits

For those who were hoping to experience the charm of Africa through its music, costumes, crafts, and lifestyle culture, the exhibit was rather lacking.
There were no traditional items on display, and the lack of explanatory panels and interactive elements meant that the “country’s character” was barely conveyed.

Impression as of April. However, expect to add exhibits in the future.

This review is based on our experience during our visit as of April.
It is possible that the number and content of exhibits may have been updated since then.
However, based on current information, there does not seem to be much word of mouth.

Summary|”drop-in” slot when you have extra time

It was a great way to learn more about Mozambique’s culture!

Space is available, but the content is thin, and the exhibits and experiences are lacking.

The only thing that impressed me was the mini-theater on the second floor.

It can be used as a “little free place” because you can get in without waiting in line.
