WOW! Germany” exterior excites me, but inside…?
The theme of the German Pavilion is “Wa! The exterior of the German Pavilion is decorated with the word “Wa! The exterior of the pavilion features a large “Wa! Germany” logo is prominently displayed on the exterior of the pavilion, giving it a pop impression that catches the eye. Before entering the pavilion, my expectations were quite high. However, upon entering the building, I found that although the facilities were impressive, the contents were a bit vague, and at times I felt “Hmmm…? I felt a bit “hmmm…” at times.

Voice experience with a mascot-type guide. But a little cumbersome?
Upon entering the museum, visitors are given an audio guide in the form of a humanoid mascot. When the visitor touches the mascot at each of the museum’s exhibition spots, an audio explanation is played. The idea is interesting, but to listen to the audio, you have to put the doll to your ear, which, to be honest, is a bit of a hassle. Many of the explanations are abstract, making it difficult for the information to stick in your head.

The video exhibition is flashy, but the content is light.
The visual presentation is elaborate, with large ceiling screens and rotating chairs, but the key visual content is somewhat blurred. While the message about the environment and the future is conveyed, it may lack storytelling and a sense of immersion.

Outside garden & restaurant are ◎
The flower garden area outside the museum was a welcome respite from the somewhat tiring exhibits. The colorful flowers and grasses were beautifully arranged and made me want to take a break.
The restaurant attached to the German Pavilion is open from around 10:00 am. Although the staff basically communicate in English, this is a great spot for beer lovers to enjoy authentic German beer poured into long, vertical glasses.

Summary surprises, but it takes patience to dig deep.
Even though the facilities and ideas are innovative, I have the impression that they are not fully utilized. If you follow the audio guide and video carefully, you may gain something, but if you watch it in a stream, you may not be able to get into the content. If you can afford it, you may want to take your time to experience it, paying attention to the gap between what you expect and what you see.
