Area 1: “Tactile Image Experience” and Tasting Space
The Monaco Pavilion has a unique structure that is not complete within a single building, but is divided into several buildings for a series of experiences. In the first area, visitors can enjoy a tactile interactive video where the contents of the screen change with the touch of a hand. The screen’s intuitive response makes children and adults alike want to reach out and touch it.
There is also a Monaco wine tasting area on the upper floor of this area. Depending on how crowded it is, you can enjoy a tasting if the timing is right.

Area 2: Discover the history of the Principality of Monaco through digital books.
Moving on to the next building, you will find an exhibition focusing on the history of Monaco. Here, visitors can read about the birth of the Principality of Monaco through a digital “flip-book. The illustrations and graphics on the screen move with each turn of the page, making it feel more like an “interactive picture book” than a book. Even those who have trouble following the words can enjoy the visual experience.
Also, although the exhibition space is outdoors, there are many wooden toys on display, including quizzes and building blocks that children will enjoy.

Area 3: A mysterious space to learn about living creatures with light and the depths of the sea.
In the last building, an impressive scientific exhibit uses light effects. Colors are projected onto light tubes that extend to the ceiling, and each color brings marine life to life. There is also a touch-type terminal that allows visitors to learn about the ecology of different creatures at different ocean depths, making it quite interesting for science lovers and curious children.

Summary|Balanced pavilion where the concept of “enjoyment through the five senses” is firmly in place
The Monaco Pavilion is a rare pavilion with “hands-on” exhibits as its main focus. While many pavilions are designed to be enjoyed only by viewing images, the Monaco Pavilion is designed to be enjoyed by moving one’s hands, reading, and touching the light, making it an easily memorable experience. This pavilion is recommended for a wide range of visitors, from small children to adults.
