Quiet introductory performance that proceeds with a ball of light

Upon entering, visitors are given a slightly glowing sphere. The introduction to the exhibition, in which visitors proceed through a dark corridor with this in their hands, is a bit magical. Since the sound and images are subdued, the exhibition is a space where visitors can face the exhibits with a sense of tranquility.

360-degree video viewed on a sofa is somewhat bland.

The 360-degree video spread across the dome-shaped ceiling is viewed while seated on a deep-backed, relaxing sofa. However, the development of the video is relatively light, and there are few strong messages or excitement that will leave a lasting impression. It can be said that this is a type of content where you can enjoy the atmosphere.

Focus is on text exhibits. If you read carefully, you will learn a lot.

The latter half of the museum is lined with exhibits that introduce the Dutch nation’s development, history, and culture of coexistence with water. Many of the explanations are text-based, and if you read them carefully, you will learn more than you can imagine. However, a cursory look at the exhibits may not be enough to convey their appeal, and a little patience may be required.

Miffy quietly appears in the museum

The popular Dutch character Miffy quietly appears here and there throughout the exhibition. It is not a showy feature, but it is a point of interest for Miffy fans to relax a little whenever they find her.

Summary|Not flashy, but a quiet pavilion for learning

Although the Holland Pavilion lacks visual flair and entertainment, it is a pavilion where visitors can take their time to deepen their knowledge in a serene space. The introductory ball of light, dome images, and quietly arranged exhibits can be appreciated by reading them with a calm mind. The Miffy that appears here and there will soothe you as you spend time gently touching the background of the country of the Netherlands.
